NORTHLAND & BAY OF ISLANDS
Over winter, why not join us in New Zealand's winterless north on one of our longer tours.
On this 7-day tour, you'll experience exploring the Bay of Islands by land and on the water, visiting historical Waitangi where we can imerse ourselves in New Zealand's history. We'll be visiting Kerikeri with time out on the water, explo- ring the secluded bays and all the while captuing what the water's of the Bay of Island's has to offer. The Bay of Islands is on the migratory path for the humpback whale, bryde's whale, and the earth's largest creature, the blue whale. We'll be treated to see dolphins, orca and pilot whales plus New Zealand fur seals around the coastline.
Of course, we couldn’t forget having fish & chips on the wharf at Mango- nui as we head north. Who doesn’t love New Zealand’s fish & chips, wrapped in paper with a little vinegar or tomato sauce?
We head to Cape Reinga, where we watch the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean collide – for the photographers amongst us, let’s hope for some “stormy” weather to capture awesomely rugged images of this collision.
On this tour, there will be plenty of photography opportunities, on and off the water, sunsets and sunrises - early rises and late to beds.
As always the food will be equi- site and seafood will be on the menu - for the non seafood eaters, you are catered for with an equally amazing choice of food.
