If you are looking to combine your photography passion with an awesome long weekend, then come join our small group in Mt Maunganui for Long Exposure, Rugged Seascapes Capture to Print retreat.
We'll teach you how to use simple composition techniques and help you master your camera's settings. With a selection of neutral density and circular polarising filters available for use we'll work with you to enhance your images. We will help you to take your RAW images and create an awesome images using both Lightroom and Photoshop. Not only will you have an amazing time, but you will also come away with having met some amazing #photographybuddies and be more confident with your photographic skills.
ITINERARY
Friday 11 June: Arrive at Anchorage Apartments late morning where you will be met by Lesley and Raewyn. Settle into your accommodation for the next three nights. An overview of the weekend's activities and discussion on camera settings over lunch. After lunch we head out exploring two local waterfalls; Kaiate Falls and McLaren Falls. Dinner tonight is after our golden and blue hour photography where we look to capture images of the sun setting across the Kaimai Ranges and Tauranga from the top of the private Summerhill Estate in Papamoa.
Saturday 12 June: Early morning blue and hour capturing sun rising across Mt Maunganui and the beach. After breakfast, we head back to the Anchorage Apartments for a morning of photo processing and print preparation. This afternoon we walk around and up Mt Maunganui, looking to capture some awe-inspiring seascape images. This evening we will be capturing the sun setting from Pilot Bay before heading to the other side of the peninsula for a spot of long expo- sure, capturing light trail images of cars driving along Marine Parade.
Sunday 13 June: An early start, with breakfast along the way - we are out all day today as we drive to Okere Falls located between Rotorua and Tauranga. On our way back we stop off
at Maketu famous for their pies, maybe we grab one to eat while sitting on the beach. We'll capture images of the sun setting over the Maketu headland and fishers fishing from the beach. After dinner, we continue with more photo processing.
Monday 14th: After breakfast we head back to the Anchorage Apartments to prepare our two favourite images for printing and head home before lunch.
