If you have high porosity hair you have overly porous hair, your cuticle layer is
open, so your hair absorbs moisture quick and it releases moisture easily too so in
effect your hair becomes dry and easily damaged.
How Do You Determine Your Hair's Porosity?
The best way to determine what your hair's porosity is to see how well your hair
absorbs water. So if you have high porosity hair, what your hair will do when wet is
to take all that water in that moisture in quickly, but it will dry quickly also,
meaning that your hair loses moisture as quickly as it takes in moisture, so you will
start to experience dry hair.
If you have low porosity hair when you wash your hair you may find that it takes
longer for your hair get wet or to absorb that water it means that you have low
porous hair. You will find that your hair takes a lot longer to dry also, but the good
thing about low porosity hair is that it retains moisture a lot longer.
