Dr. Thanongsak Imjai

Thanongsak Imjai obtained his BEng at Nottingham
University (2001), MSc at Cardiff University (2002) and PhD
at Sheffield University in 2007. His research is in the fields of
structural concrete, FRP and fibre reinforcement, repair,
construction innovation and earthquake engineering. Dr
Imjai has been working with several government
agencies, engineering associations, such as the
Engineering Institution of Thailand and many research
and industrial partners in Thailand over 10 years in the field
of asset and forensic engineering. In 2010, Dr Imjai was
appointed Lecturer in Structural Engineering in the
Department of Civil Engineering at Rajamangala
University of Technology Tawan-Ok (RMUTTO), Thailand.
He is a member of Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT)
and International Institute for FRP in Construction (IIFC).

Dr Imjai is a director of the Construction Innovation
Research Unit (CIRU) at RMUTTO, which includes research
on advanced composites, construction innovation, and
seismic rehabilitation of RC structures. He has been
principal or co-investigator on seven research projects
worth approximately 170k USD. He has been involved in
the supervision of 5 MSc students and published over 40
research papers in refereed journals and conferences.
