Brodix Iron Engine Blocks
Brodix Cast Iron Blocks Feature Premium Iron Alloy. Standard features: Standard cam location, 2-piece rear main, priority
main oiling, 4-bolt splayed nodular iron main caps, .842" lifter bore, fuel pump boss, motor mount, oil pan rails and starter.
Locations are all OE specs. Additional 10 degree head bolt lugs machined in deck area. Blocks will require align honing.

“Big M” Iron Engine Blocks
The blocks that set the standard for big block Chevrolet include siamese bores, scalloped
water jackets, redesigned oiling systems, valley head stud bosses, adequate clearances for
stroker cranks and four-bolt steel main caps.

Dart aluminum blocks deliver big power in a lightweight block. Race series blocks incorporate
increased deck heights and a raised cam location. +.400" raised cam height.

Big M 8.1 Gen 7 Big Block
The metric 8.1L big block has been improved with a strengthened design and priority oiling as
well as greater cooling with the use of full water jackets. The stepped main oil gallery increas-
es oil flow to the crankshaft at high rpm, resulting in more oil at the bearings and pushrods
and less power robbing crankcase windage. Cam bearings, freeze plugs, or dowels must be
ordered separately.
