Festivities in the U.S. A
Nowadays, festivities are an important part of each culture. In the United States there are different
festivities such as Patrick’s day, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving among others. I think that the most

relevant festivities are Halloween and thanksgiving. Both festivals have many differences which make each one
special and attractive.
Halloween was celebrated more or less 2000 years ago for the United States ancestress to thank for the end

of the season. It is celebrated on October 31 . Furthermore, the festival has taken popularity and people
celebrate it in different ways. Some people tend to decorate their houses with spiders, witches, tombs, and
pumpkins. Also, people wear costumes to ask for sweets or make tricks to people. The most important food in
this festival are the pumpkins.

In contrast, Thanksgiving is specially to join with the family. This festivity began when European people
