Once the rabbit was out of the bush, she would be able to scoop her up safely.
The rabbit chewed the rest of the kale and looked around for more. Keira quickly handed Bea the broccoli. Bea edged back a little more so the rabbit had to come out of hiding to reach the food. The bunny’s ears pricked up and she twitched her nose, before hopping a little closer.
Bea waited till the rabbit took
a nibble of broccoli, before leaning forwards and putting one hand under her furry white tummy. She lifted the bunny into her arms and hugged her tightly. The rabbit’s fur felt soft and warm against her cheek. “What shall we call you?” she asked, stroking the rabbit’s velvety ears.
