What will I learn?
Are you interested in a career in the Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance, Armed Forces, Government or local council? Do you like a challenge and the opportunity to build your self-esteem and confidence?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to the questions above then you should consider studying BTEC Level 1 in Public Services!
You will study a wide range of subjects which are interesting, fun, and will enable you to really excel in both academic and practical ability. The course will help you develop a range of employability skills such as professionalism, leadership, citizenship, teamwork and social awareness. As part of the course you will also study English and Maths.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment takes place through coursework, practical activities and continual assessment throughout the year. This may include some external assessments.

There will also be the opportunity to attend a residential trip as part of your assessment and learn new skills such as team working.
