                                 Documentary Preview: Superkids2

You are invited to a viewing of the Superkids 2 documentary, a longitudinal study of highly able learners. The
documentary follows up the lives of five individuals; these individuals were first interviewed for Superkids (2004)
documentary. Ten years later, filmmakers went back to find them in different cities: Vancouver, San Francisco, New
York and asked…"Are they still gifted?" and how did the filming of Superkids affect them.

Superkids 2 explores the lives of five 20-somethings identified as “gifted” when they were still children. The feature-
length documentary finds them as young adults completing their formal education, setting out upon careers, and
reflecting upon their experiences while at school. International experts bring new perspectives to the complex issues of
identification, labelling, segregation, and acceleration that each of these bright young adults has faced.

Superkids 2 is part of a larger research project supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of
Canada through the auspices of Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the University of British Columbia.

After watching the movie, please answer the questionnaire that includes questions about your background and the
       documentary.

Upon completing both viewing and completing the survey, you will have a chance to win one out of five $100 Amazon
       gift cards.

Findings from this study will help us better understand the professional's perspective on the possibility of using
       documentary as a research methodology.
