Stages of Team Development
A high performing team does not just happen. A team evolves through stages as it comes together and people learn to work together. When the make-up of the team changes, a new person joins the team or someone leaves, or when there are changes to the project or in the external environment the team may go back to the beginning stage of development.. Team evolution is neither linear nor static. And the best way for a team to become high performing fast is to understand the needs of each stage of development and how to adapt your leadership style accordingly.
