 Meaningful Feedback
As a Front Line Leader, your team members need to know 3 things from you:
1. What’s my job? 2. How am I doing? 3. Do you care?
As a Leader you convey these through different forms of feedback, from subtle to obvious – verbal comments, non-verbal gestures and cues, letters and memos, raises and bonuses, silence, criticism, appraisals, certificates, email, group praise, etc.
An effective coach delivers feedback in a deliberate manner with the objective of enhancing the capability and confidence of the team members. Feedback builds relationships effectively when it engages both the Giver and Receiver in a constructive (content) two-way dialogue (how it is delivered).
“What gets measured gets done.
What gets measured and fed back gets done well. What gets rewarded gets repeated.
