a) Pollution has increased because multinationals have dirty process.
b) The spread of diseases has increased thanks to the contact between foreign and

native people.

c) With the passage of time Ecuadorian traditions have been lost because people
acquire cultures from other countries.

The effects of Globalization on Ecuador

Globalization is the integration of societies, economies, and cultures of worldwide through
the process of technology, politic, and trade. Over the past fifty years, Ecuador, has been part of

globalization. And, like every process in the world, globalization has had positive and negative
effects in this country.

Globalization in Ecuador has had some positive effects. The first one [is that tourism in
Ecuador has increased a lot.] [Ecuador has gained fame because of its beautiful touristic places.] The

second reason [is that globalization allows Ecuadorians to get close contact with foreign people.] [It is
a good way to learn more about new cultures around the world.] Finally, [thanks to globalization, the

advance of science and technology has helped Ecuador to improve its development.] For example,
[the communication in my country has improved by mobile phones and internet.] [These tools allow

people get information easily.]
