Unfortunately, globalization has also had negative effects in my country. [Pollution has
increased a lot in this years.] [This is because multinational enterprises settled here don’t treat their

waste in the correct way.] Another disadvantage of [globalization is that thanks to the contact

between foreign and native people, diseases spread faster.] For example, [AH1N1 flu came to
Ecuador in 2009 by foreign people.] Besides that, [globalization has contributed to Ecuadorian

culture and traditions being lost.] [Mainly Ecuadorian teenagers no longer wear typical clothes, they
have acquired customs from other countries.]

In conclusion, globalization is a process in which all of us are involved. As well as

globalization has positive effects, it also has negative effects for everyone and Ecuador is not the

exception. Ecuadorian government must find the balance and try to make the best decisions always
thinking in the welfare of Ecuadorian people.
