D Course:

                   “(Year) BCSA Outstanding herding Dog of the Year”

                   (Advanced D – Sheep, Cattle, Ducks)
                   “(Year) BCSA Reserve Outstanding Herding Dog of the Year”

                   (Advanced D – Sheep, Cattle, Ducks)

                   The Border Collie with the greatest amount and second greatest amount of points at the Advanced level shall be called the “(Year) BCSA Outstanding Herding Dog of the Year” D Sheep or the
                   “(Year) BCSA Reserve Outstanding Herding Dog of the Year” D Sheep, respectively. The BCSA issued title of “OHD” or “ROHD” shall be designated by the addition of these letters, respectively,
                   with the appropriate course and livestock. As an example, the 2017 Outstanding Herding Dog of the Year and the Reserve Outstanding Herding Dog of the Year, Advanced D Sheep, shall be
                   designated by “OHDDS” or “ROHDDS” respectively.

                   For the Intermediate and Started D classes, the Border Collie with the greatest amount and second greatest amount of points will be called the “(Year) BCSA Herding Dog of the Year (Class)
                   Sheep” or the “(Year) BCSA Reserve Herding Dog of the Year (Class) Sheep” respectively. No BCSA club titles shall be issued.
                   Final points announcements are subject to correction of any error discovered within (2) two weeks of the date of the final announcement. Any discovered error or errors will be corrected,
                   and the awards as announced will be adjusted accordingly.




                   TIES
                   In the unlikely event that two or more handler’s dogs stand equal in total points in a designated

                   program class for 1 or 2 place, their priority shall be settled by calculating the top 8 highest points
                   scores to settle the matter, and should that calculation result in a tie, then the top 9 highest points
                   scores will be used to settle the matter, and so on. This method of calculation for breaking any ties will
                   decide all awards.

                   AMENDMENTS

                   These Competition Guidelines shall be subject to revision and amendment on an annual basis by a (2/3)
                   two-thirds vote of the herding committee and by final approval of the BCSA Board of Directors.
