MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mazal Tov to EDOS on its 56 years!
During these 56 years, EDOS has been a beacon of Torah, Tefillah (praying), Limmud
(learning), and Chesed (acts of kindness), instilling valuable lessons to the generations
that have passed through these doors.
This year we are honoring our Rabbi, Rabbi Daniel Rapp, whose presence in our shul has
greatly enhanced all those core values of EDOS: Torah, Tefillah, Limmud and Chesed.
Over the past decade, Rabbi Rapp has provided leadership through his shiurim, hala-
chic consultations, words of counsel and hachnasat orchim. He has pushed EDOS to
retain its premier spot in Denver as an example of Jewish excellence whether in learning
or, perhaps even more meaningfully, through its facilitation of Chesed. That he does it
all with incredible knowledge and unsurpassed wit is an added bonus.
But most of all, Rabbi Rapp models the kind of behavior we all strive for. Simply by being
in our midst he has enhanced our religious, ethical and moral commitments.
Tonight we also celebrate and recognize EDOS’ 56 years of community leadership.
Over the last 56 years, the members of EDOS have toiled in building a shul. Ultimately,
through their hard work the shul has become a cornerstone of the community, allowing
EDOS today to continue down the path of building & supporting Torah, Tefillah, and
Tzedakah throughout the entire Denver.
Thank you to our Executive Director, Rabbi Benny Levy. In the short time we’ve had you
we’ve come to rely on your professionalism and friendly demeanor.
Thank you to Craig Schottenstein, our President, for your dedication to the Shul. Your
tireless efforts on behalf of EDOS are deeply appreciated.
Rabbi and Rebbetzin Dr. Rapp, we thank you for your leadership, dedication, wit and
wisdom. We have all benefited from your presence and we’re very happy you will be with
us for another year.
Thank you to all the Shul committees. EDOS would not function without you.
And thank you to the Festschrift committee and all the volunteers for making this an
outstanding evening. Finally, thank you all for being here in support of EDOS.
We value and appreciate your friendship.
