Bestowed with courage, the flight was able to carefully reach beyond boundaries.
People of Kabayan, Benguet heard the sound of hope brought by the Flight when
they land at secluded area of that municipality.

The Flight has also reached out to the province of Tuba, benguet as well as
the isolated areas of Bakun, Benguet. No one can stop them even the confronting
high-elevation mountains that they even reached the boundaries of Nueva Vizcaya
where people in municipality of Kayapa, Cabayo and Banao were all in need.

The unwavering support of the maintenance team deployed thereat cannot
also be set aside. They became the stronghold of every Aircrew flying in mission
in ensuring that the aircraft were all in full mission capable and the airworthiness
were all in satisfactory condition. Truly, they are the silent heroes behind the suc-
cessful mission of every operation.

With these, they were able to safely deliver tons of cargoes with basic com-
modities to the areas greatly affected by the typhoon including those on the remote
and isolated areas of Luzon where land transportation would not be possible due to
landslide and damaged road. A number of Military personnel were also ferried to dif-
ferent areas of operation to help in search and retrieval operations as well as civilian
volunteers were airlifted to help in the distribution of goods.

Perhaps, no amount of relief goods will be enough to erase the ache and
sorrows of every person which were severely affected by the wrath of “Ompong”

especially those who lost their love ones, but at least, these figures will somehow
give them a moment of comfort and assurance that they were never be forgotten
especially by the government. These relief operations seem to be endless since
trucks loaded of boxes of relief goods were arriving every now and then but still, the
commitment and dedication to live up to the Unit’s motto of “205THW always there”
will never dwindle. The unit will always maintain a good approach in every crisis that
our countrymen will face, may it be in combat or natural calamity, sound the call and
they will be there.
