have Osteogenesis Imperfecta, often referred to as ‘Brittle Bones’ which
Imeans I am short in stature, have very limited reach and have fragile bones.
‘OI’ confines me to an electric wheelchair and means I need to be careful in
how I move about due to risk of fracture.
Having had many different electric wheelchairs in my lifetime, the Ezi-Riser
K450 is like no other... Being able to lower down to the floor and rise high
enough to access doors, shelves, the kitchen sink etc the K450 enables me to
have the independence I have been dreaming of. With no need for assistance
in any way, I am able to
work a fulltime job, live in
an unmodified house and,
with the K450's impressive
outdoor capabilities, have a lifestyle as active as most.
My family, friends and work mates do not think of or treat me as
‘disabled’. I love the fact that I am now able to contribute like anyone else.
I enjoy my job and am looking forward to the day when I am raising and
supporting a family.
Without the Ezi-Riser K450 my life would be very different. I hope many others
can know the independence and lifestyle made possible by the Ezi-Riser K450.
