News from Article 12 in Scotland
Three young Gypsy/Travellers took part in Holocaust Memorial Training in Krakow. Three
young people from Article 12 travelled to Auschwitz to participate in a week long training
programme on the Holocaust particularly the number of Gypsies who were murdered at the
hands of the Nazis - this is remembered on 2nd of August and known as the Porrajmos. This
will be an educational and an emotional experience for these young people - on their return
they will put together an exhibition which will be available as an educational tool for use
across Scotland.
