            RE: Requests for Proposals
Th e Verizon Executive Education Center - Cornell University New York Tech Campus

            Ms. Phelps,
Th ank you for the opportunity to submit our proposal for the upcoming Verizon Executive Education Center project. We
recognize the importance of this project for your campus and feel we have a portfolio and team that speaks strongly to our
academic experience. As you review our proposal, please keep in mind the following critical elements, unique to Barr & Barr,
that will be highly benefi cial to hiring our team for the success of your project:

Over $2 Billion in Academic Experience: With our extensive experience constructing and renovating Academic facilities of varying
types, we know what it will take to make the Verizon Executive Education Center a successful project.

Established & Successful Relationship with Cornell University: Currently, Barr & Barr is working with Cornell NYC Tech on
Roosevelt Island constructing the 150,000 SF Bloomberg Center. We fully understand the logistical challenges that come with
constructing on Roosevelt Island and that Cornell University needs a team that is “proactive” not “reactive” in their decision
making. Th e knowledge and experience we have working directly with Cornell University, fully understanding the area and all
the work that resides on the Island is truly benefi cial in selecting our team for Th e Verizon Executive Education Center.

Preconstruction & Construction Services: Having completed over fi ve billion dollars of Preconstruction and Construction services
within the last 10 years - our vast experience allows us to fi ll in the gaps between design intent and the design documents from
schematic design right through construction documents. We manage the process by continually identifying what elements have
changed and we challenge those items. Our team consistently delivers estimates that track within 1% from Schematic to CD
            documents.

Most Experienced Academic Team: Our hallmark is to provide complete transparency in how we conduct business which is why
we can successfully perform projects of all scales and sizes. No matter the size, every project is given the same attention to detail.

We strongly believe that our experience is unmatched in the construction industry, which is why we have been on elite academic
campuses like yours providing service in some cases for over 30 continuous years.

We look forward to the opportunity of continuing our successful relationship with Cornell University. Should you have any
questions, I can be reached in the offi ce at 212.563.2330 or my cell 914.760.0615.

            Sincerely Yours,
            Barr & Barr, Inc.
