between different actions or events.

There are three main linking words categories:

• Conjunctions (because, since, So, AS, Thus, Hence)

Example: I am going to sleep because I am sleepy.

• Prepositions (Because of, due to)

Example: Because of the snow, all the roads were closed.

• Transitions (Therefor, consequently, as a result)

Example: There is a test tomorrow; therefore, I need to study

tonight. 4
