Space Coast Tourism Updates
The Space Coast Of ce of Tourism took over the new Atlanta Braves stadium in Atlanta July 13-15, 2017. Stadium signage, digital billboards, bus wraps, radio station broadcasts and targeted Facebook ads all aimed at attracting more visitors to the Space Coast.
A new website was launched, www.spacecoastlaunches.com
Director Eric Garvey says, “With more launches happening now than ever before, now is the time to witness a marvel and to come here to see, hear and feel one of the most dramatic events on earth.”
The new NASA Mars Rover concept vehicle was parked in front of the Stadium and viewed by about 35,000 fans per game. Astronaut Jon McBride was on hand to answer questions from the media and the fans.
Brevard County Central Fleet Recognized by the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Program
In April 2017 the Central Fleet shop was evaluated and awarded the Blue Seal of Excellence as prescribed by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
To be eligible for this recognition, an organization must have 75% of its automotive professionals ASE certi ed. In addition, there must be a certi ed technician in each area of service offered. Central Fleet has 100%
certi cation and
covers service areas
in four categories,
including Service
Consultant, Parts
Specialist, Auto, and
Medium/Heavy Truck.
Additionally, there are three ASE
Master Technicians at the Central
Fleet garage; Jim Prendergast- Master Auto Technician, Robert Biller Master Auto Technician, and Scott McKeown Master Truck Technician.
“Businesses that have earned the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition have gone the extra mile in support of their customers.
