 Natalie Abad
As an aspiring physician and fellow colleague of FlU Herbert Wertheim College of medicine Class of 2022, I will endeavor to become the best version of myself to commit to my future patient’s wellbeing as well as to provide a collaborate environment among peers.
I bring humility, an openness to new experiences, and an eagerness to add value both through scientific innovation as well as high quality patient care.
I will appreciate the humbling privilege of being a student doctor and I will serve as an advocate for my classmates as well as my patients.
I will commit to a lifelong, challenging but worthwhile journey filled with learning, and teaching about the medical profession, to gain the upmost training and to become a physician worthy of my patient’s and colleague’s trust.
I will promise to be of service to my local and global community with my patient’s best interest in mind.
I will create a comfortable space for communication and empathy and encourage professionals at all levels to learn about individual patients’ perspectives and adequately assess their patient’s personal well- being as well as their own.
I will prove myself worthy of the strong meaningful relationships I intend to build with my colleagues and patients.
I will be compassionate and kindhearted in every situation, and not lose sight of my ultimate goal as a medical professional.
I will provide an honest investment in making sure that my patients’ are making informed medical decisions and exercising their patient autonomy.
I will be aware of exercising competency of foreign cultures and language in relation to medicine in order to make sure my patients feel understood.
I will dedicate my time to remedy the injustice that is inequitable access to healthcare.
I intend to dedicate my career to the task of helping people through the practice of medicine and I sincerely cannot think of a more rewarding way to spend the rest of my life.
