Sample Preparation -Solid Feed Ingredients:
FMix all sample taken from a load and spread it
uniformly in 24" x 18" x 3" plastic or metal tray or in a
clean PP bag of similar size.
FSpread it uniformly by leveling the material in the tray
and divide it into 9 equal parts. (or 4 parts)
FDiscard the alternate parts and take the remaining

part of the sample.
FAgain spread the remaining sample uniformly in the
tray and repeat the points 2 & 3 till getting 400gm to
600gm of pooled sample.
FCompletely pack the sample in a polythene bag
with sample slip which contains Lab reference
number.
FGrind well and pack in a closed plastic sample
container without affecting the moisture content of
Dividing into 9 Equal Parts
Discard Alternate Portion

FPlease ensure that all sample particles should be
passed through 1mm sieves. The material above
1mm sieve should also be mixed thoroughly with
same ground sample.
