Pole Hitch

Poles, paddles, oars, and any long objects (including
long-handled tools such as brooms and rakes) are
gathered closely together and bound with the pole
hitch. To prevent creating an awkward armload, use
two of these knots, one toward each end of the
long objects.
The pole hitch not only works for ease of
carrying but also for storing long objects. Note that
