It has to be you that approaches your people as then you will be sure of their allegiance and confidence in the proposed budget for the interior. As you well know, there's not much we can do with the exterior costs as that has to follow whatever is requited to be done.
If as you say, your Mr. Manton (Surveyor) would also spec up the exterior for the cost of a lunch, great, I'm all for it. But somehow doubt it! Try him, though, if you feel it might be beneficial in reducing listed works required and subsequently costs quoted to date, based on our Surveyor's specifications and his list of works needing attention.
You will no doubt appreciate that all the above does indicate a move back to almost square on....we ain't got much time with summer hols on the horizon so do please treat this as all very urgent despite, as you made clear your very busy time & work schedule, as opposed to me having too much time on my hands!!! Good point, but gives me more time for the www.mitrehouse.org..... oooops, sorry, shouldn't have mentioned that! It is good fun though?
I hope this ALL seems fair and equitable to finally sort the situation and I look forward to your comments.
Here's a present for Phoebe - she's lovely, having drunk all my Scotch - can I put her pic up on the web? xxxx
