Reference your briefly email of today -
I sent you the relevant documents Management have sent to all Lessees since Internals were first mooted.
01_ One of those is simply the actual Decor ideas from both Management (Belle Epoque) and some Lessees (Traditional).
As regards voting for one or other, I think that still remains to be finally discussed as prior to your meeting on June 13th, Belle Epoque was the choice, but post your meeting, Traditional became the choice, by some accounts, but not all. You in fact were one who changed your voting preferences at that meeting and I believe did two others possibly due to your telephone contact with them prior to the meeting which you were well within your rights to do - it's called canvassing. But in truth, it threw the whole project into total disarray resulting in the chaotic situation we now find ourselves in. That's call mischief.
02_See Page 7 - Part III - THE WORKS - Scope Of Works
03_Management have upwards of three quotes per works to be undertaken, and in some case 4 or 5 - it is not possible to present all, or even the cheapest/expensive - hence my sensible AVERAGES on the voting bulletin. You have been advised ad nauseum that Managements specifications, matching almost exactly the same works that you arranged quotes from Hemi and Wade, amount to £35,000 incl. vat versus £60,000 incl. vat from Wade, as an example.
Management's £35,000 incl. vat is based on using the cheapest or most reasonable or most attractive or most professional of any of the various quotes received per job - as opposed to an AVERAGE cost. Again, as well pointed out to you on numerous occasions, as was your error in not including VAT on your costings but including VAT (and mirrors etc) on Management's costings on your presented Spreadsheet.
04_Mirrors - fully appreciate not wanted, nor included in Management's £35,000 budget - simply attached to see yet more considerations/work/analysis/quotes etc
05_These are the Brief Specs Management used for suppliers to refer to and do list the full works envisaged including some (carpets/mirrors etc) not at present a requirement. Suggest you compare 02 and 05 with those specs Flat 9 presented for your quotes and indeed your meetings to discuss. I don't see too much difference in works to be done for £60,000 as opposed to Management's £35,000. I do though see a difference in styles to be adopted, which is fair enough as Flat 9 are as contrary in their insistence for Traditional as Management is for Belle Epoque. That's the main problem and one than cannot be solved to everybody's satisfaction.
Hence the simplest easiest route is for Management to do the minimum as required within the terms of the Head Lease. It's also the cheapest. And gets our vote.
Seeing as you're not paying for ink, paper and my time - I'll be the judge of whether it's a waste of etc etc - I can assure you, though, that the word professional coming from you is an oxymoron in the extreme.
I note, too, that just possibly you are not advising other Lessees of our recent correspondence and the sensible venue suggestion of my flat has not been taken up - could that be more mischief and obstinance from you or a genuine desire of other Lessees for preference of a Cafe? One hopes not as indeed my flat being not only Management's hub, also contains to hand all references, documents, samples etc let alone a 30 second visit to any works under discussion for a closer look...!
I was hoping to show Flat 9 the new dedicated telephone. Paul
