P. 60

Strengths of defense: Experience in the secondary. Inside LB’s are strong with good football sense. Increased size up front.
Team’s biggest question mark(s): As always, depth is an issue. We have a lot of 2-way players. Strength. Being cut off from the weight room for so long is an issue. Inexperienced players have to step up.
2020 expectations: To play hard, get better every day. Play for each other, team first. Don’t waste opportunities and enjoy every second.

Strengths of offense: Returning starting TE, FB, RB, QB, WR, and two OL. Strong running game. Very good play action passing game. Possibly a great passing game with development of WR.
Strengths of defense: Returning six full time starters and four part time starters/ contributors. Very good vs. the run. Exotic defense that is different from what you normally see. Experience as we return two seniors and one Jr. that will be third year starters. Very solid tackling team.
Team’s biggest question mark(s): COVID-19 and it’s repercussions. Developing the left side of our line and a new center. Controlling turnovers.
2020 expectations: We expect to compete for the 3A East Region title. We expect to be in the hunt come playoff time. Great, hardworking senior group that will help lead us through these unprecedented times.
More about program: Last year started out well and then we were hit with a rash of injuries to key players. Due to this, a number of younger players got a ton of varsity experience. Even with these younger players, we still competed well in our region and our region did well in the playoffs. This experience will bode well for us in the upcoming season.

Strengths of offense: Returning RB Terren Green 1,000 yards rushing and 1,300 all-purpose yards. Solid Jr. QB Caden Cantrell is smart, strong arm, and tough. Will get Mayson McKinlay back from knee injury which kept him out all last season. He is a threat as RB and WR. Returning center and Jr. captain Carter Solomon adds experi- ence and leadership. Returning RG David Ruiz is undersized but smart and plays big. Strengths of defense: Returning LB Terren Green had 159 total tackles and leads a solid group of LBs. Bradley Ruiz and Carter Solomon anchor a big, strong defen- sive front that is difficult to move. Payson Cardon and Noah Baum return as quick, tough DEs. Cardon had 71 tackles from his DE spot last season. Josh Solomon
and Ryson Stuart bring back experience as CBs and the secondary will be tough with the return of Mayson McKinlay as a Safety/OLB. Rev Brimhall, Nick McVicker, Camden Brimhall and Ty Solomon round out a solid group of LBs.
Team’s biggest question mark(s): Can we make up the time we have lost due to the Covid-19 school closure? When can we get back on the field?
2020 expectations: Get back on the field ASAP and overcome all the uncertain-
ty mentioned in the questions above. Build team chemistry and trust through hard work and team activities. Win the 3A East Region. Win the 3A Conference championship. Continue to build the Lobo football legacy of helping create good
football players and great young men.
More about program: We are endlessly grateful for the support of the people and businesses in our small communities of Snowflake and Taylor. There is no bet- ter place to experience Friday Night Lights than in small towns like this. We are excited to get this 2020 season rolling.
