 eWelcomeCenter(TWC)isa30bedtriagefacilityonSouthBelgraviaforhomelesindividuals.TWC operatesundertheHousingFirstModelwithnorequirementswithregardtoincome,sobrietyorcompliance withmentalhealthtreatment.Partnersandpetsarewelcomeandstoragespaceisavailablefortheirpersonal belongings.TWCprovidesfood,shelter,hygienesupplies,casemanagement,diversionservicesandlifeskils training.Alservicesarehousingfocused.
THISYEAR:
 eWelcomeCenterhasserved183individuals.Ofthosethathaveexitedtheprogram,47% hadsafeexits. eseexits haverangedfrom permanenthousing,enteringintoaRehabilitationprogram,and/orbeingreuni􏰀edwithfamily. e WelcomeCenterhasalsobenabletomaintaina80% censusandcontinuestoserveguestswithalresourcesposible.
ADJUSTING TO COVID-19:
Covid-19createdchalengesinshelteroperationsforaloftheagency’striageprogramsandcommunitypartners. AlguestswereprovidedwithacestotelehealthservicesthroughFresnoCountyPublicHealthandBehavioral Healthinanefforttoseamleslyprovidethoseservices.Pharmaciesagredtodelivermedicationtoprogram guests
andmethadoneserviceswerebroughtonsite.Staffhasprovidedrecreationalactivitiestoencourageshelteringin placeandimplementedalrecommendationsoftheCenterforDiseaseControl,includingwearingmasks,providing acestotestingwhennecesary,partneringwithPublicHealthtodosurveilancetestingofguestsandstaff,and
hroughoutthecampus. epatio,staffoffices,breakroom,anddiningareahavealbenset upforsocialdistancing.Sanitizingstationshavebenaddedtothediningarea,andadividerhasbenaddedtothe
kitchenservingwindowandtotheClientServiceProvideroffice.
