PYRAMID SCHEME
You see, I started planning my departure from the "man" two years prior when my
last company had a massive layoff - that I somehow survived. Have you ever been a
survivor during a large layoff? It feels like your boat went down and you can barely
keep your head above water. You find yourself doing the work that 3 or 4 people
used to do. You get no extra money for your new workload, but you got to keep
your job, and they tell you how thankful you should be - YEAH!
The people who had their hands at the wheel of this train wreck were still there my
last day. These people were at the top of this giant pyramid scheme called
Corporate America - “Chief” level executives with their golden parachutes ready to
launch. How could I have faith in a cronyism system like this? Can you relate?
