Big Austin Creek feeds the Grotto Pool at the center of The Main Canyon. As the various springs combine in the creek, the waters reach closer to neutral (pH 7-8). The pristine quality waters of the creek support roach sh, salmonid species, yellow-legged frog, rare dragonflies, and other forms of life. The Grotto Pool is also a favorite place for visitor recreation and relaxation.
