Neighboring land owners including the De Carly Family, the Durham-Miller Family, the Tyrell family, Sonoma Land Trust, and the Bette Campbell family all provided support as neighboring landowners. Rick De Carly and others have worked on the roads assuring access and reducing erosion issues on the land. Bette Campbell, who rst gave Roger permission to explore The Cedars back in 1981, has supported eld explorations, provided a parking launch for groups, and even hosted many scientists and family members in her home over
the years. Community support for conservation projects are the foundations of success.
Friends and family created the support network that made The Cedars project possible. Owen and Nancy McCrory and Joyce and Raymond Raiche, Dave and Roger’s families, provided nancial support to make the transactions work as well as
a nurturing their kid’s love of nature and science. Jesus Garcia and the Planet Horticulture crews have worked many days to keep the camp in great shape. Planet Horticulture clients and friends have helped sustain us creatively and
 nancially. Kara Nelson and Eric
Van Dusen helped to create the base
camp facility. Richard Gamble, Andy
Chen, Angel Guerzon, Lyn Evans,
Jack Thorpe and Sharon Virtue,
Matt Freedman and Kyra Millich,
Amy Larson and Robert Uhlaner,
and many dear friends added their
support. The Cedars is a spiritual
place. Walk up a canyon, experience
the echoes, the slightest sounds, the
deep colors, the vertical relief,
and the sacred energy.
The Cedars is blessed with an outstanding community
of people who love the land.
