6) MISSIONARY ZEAL
The time-tested, most common position in which is sex is performed
around the world, is known to be ideal for conception because if the
woman is lying on her back, the vagina is projected downwards, towards
the cervix which may facilitate the sperm to get through the cervix and
enter the uterus.
"Placing a pillow under your pelvis during intercourse in the missionary
position may increase the upward tilt of the vagina, potentially improving
reception of semen," informs reproductive endocrinologist Anate Brauer,
MD, OB/GYN. In addition, deploying the tried and tested position will
take the pressure off "If people feel more relaxed having sex in a certain
way, and they're more comfortable, and they're not white-knuckling the
encounter, that goes a long way," Hurwitz notes.
