BENNY
Certainly. Tell him- from now on, it‘s his baby.

                                                            KEN
        Thank you, Benny.

                                                           BENNY
(Half to himself) No sweat off my back. (He seems resigned to let it go.) Welp. I tried.

                                                            KEN
(Moving to Norm and falsely believing he‘s out of Benny‘s earshot, half-aside) Bit faster? Few
harmonies? Maybe he‘s not so off.

                                                           NORM
My God, you‘re right! Ignore me—ignore the client—that guy over there? He‘s the one you should
        follow.

                                                            KEN
(Moment, glancing at Benny who quickly looks away. They both chuckle derisively, walking off
together) What do I know--I‘m just the producer. (They‘re gone)

                                                           BENNY
(Long moment. He wanders over to Marty, the piano player.) Marty is it? (Gesturing to take over the
        keyboard) May I?

                                                          MARTY
        Uh…

                                                             N
        Benny sits at the piano.

                                                           BENNY
Stay with me. First. Tempo. Make it something like…(Intro on piano)
