Scene. The modern, upscale, midtown offices of Shapiro Talent Associates. We see several mothers
grooming and coaching their kids. Benny enters and approaches Madalyn‘s receptionist.

(Benny enters)

ANN
(Abrupt) Whattaya want?

BENNY
(Chipper) Oh, hi, Ann! How‘s your morning?

ANN
She‘s on the phone. With Kelly‘s mom.

BENNY
Oh! Well that case, she won‘t mind the interruption.

Benny walks past Ann and into Madalyn‘s office. Scene evolves to Maddie‘s office.

MADALYN
(On phone) No, Jean. She‘s too tall. (Listens) No, Jean. Too old. (Listens) No, Jean. The other
networks won't touch her. (Listens) I know, Jean- you‘ve "never been one to push".

BENNY
Ha!!!

MADALYN
Sshh! (Listens) Yes, Jean. Thank you, Jean. Bye, Jean. (Hangs up) Don‘t know who‘s driving me
more meshugga- the kid or the mom.

BENNY
Maddie. I got it. Figured out how to-
