BENNY
No. I mean they decided not to.

                                                         MADALYN
        They did? (He nods) Pity.

                                                           BENNY
        I know. But it‘s okay—got a better idea.

                                                         MADALYN
        Oy.

                                                           BENNY
Just imagine it‘s 1928. We open on a large Vaudeville stage. Close up on 12-year-old Benny Rosen,
Junior and his dad, singin‘, dancin‘, headlinin' at the Palace.

                                                         MADALYN
        You wrote a musical?

                                                           BENNY
        It'll write itself.

                                                         MADALYN
I see. Is it gonna fund itself?

                                                           BENNY
I make this, you‘ll get back every penny I owe ya.

                                                         MADALYN
Oh! Well. ‗Til that happy day… (Hands him commercial paperwork)

                                                           BENNY
        (Reading) What‘s this?
