CHRIS
        What scene?

                                                           ADAM
The one where we kill the little girl.

                                                            JEAN
(Entering) Ugh! Those stairs. How do you kids do it? I tell ya, youth is wasted on the young.

                                                          ALYSON
        Hi Mrs. Rabin.

                                                            JEAN
Please. We‘ve known each other for three years! Call me Jean. (Looking around) Place never
changes, does it. (To Chris) Ah! Chris. Molly was it? The Alvin. Did a hundred performances on that
stage. Marta. In Company. (Moment of non-recognition) Sondheim? (To Kelly) Get home soon as this
is done. Your audition‘s at six.

                                                           KELLY
Do we have to? It‘s a non-union commercial.

                                                            JEAN
Two hundred bucks is two hundred bucks. Honey. You‘re not a cute little kid any more. (Kelly mouths
along) Every day there‘s less out there for you. Stop it! You call Maddie? Last time you did, they
started sending you out like crazy.

                                                           KELLY
That was before. (Moment) I called her. She‘s looking.

                                                            JEAN
What are we supposed to do while she's "looking"- (looks around) This?

                                                           KELLY
        Would you just go?
