were completed and offered in the September 2017 intake
(follow links to website information for each subject):
MLP1: Lawyer’s Skills (Malaysia)

The LPBQ requires law graduates from an approved list of
foreign universities (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and
United Kingdom) to pass the CLPE to gain admission to the
Malaysian Bar. However, law graduates from Malaysian
public universities are exempt from this requirement.
A College CLPE preparation course is being prepared to offer
in conjunction with the first six subjects of LLM programme,
enabling students to gain a postgraduate qualification while
preparing for the exams.
CLPE STATISTICS
548 candidates graduated with the LPQB’s Certificate in
Legal Practice in 2016.
CLPE pass rates are low. In 2012, for example, only
350/860 (41%) of candidates successfully passed the CLPE.
