9. Usage of Information Resources 9.1 Circulation Statistics
The percentage of check-ins and check-outs were 38% respectively of the total circulation statistics. Relatively, a lesser percentage (22%) of clients renewed the borrowing period of the information resources in their possession. Only 2% placed resources on hold.
9.2 E-resources Searches
The pattern of usage of information resources has remained the same over the years; the number of searches and downloads peaks just before examinations and drops soon after. The same pattern was witnessed in 2016. Usage increased sharply between January and March when postgraduate students sit for exams, June to August during semester courses’ exams and lastly between October and November
