Launch of PIX4D Technology at ITE College East
            The Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, along with Dr Eugene Seah, CEO of DLS Consultancy
            and Chairman of the NYAA Council, were invited to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
            (MOU) between the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and PIX4D Co Ltd.

            The MOU was signed by Ms Low Khah Gek, CEO of ITE, and Mr Christoph Strecha, CEO of PIX4D, and witnessed
            by Yek Tiew Ming, Principal of ITE College East, and Kenneth Pan, Director of Easepect (PIX4D agent). The
            partnership will enable ITE students to apply PIX4D technology in landscape design by generating 3D point-
            cloud models using PIX4D cloud services. These applications will support the Sustainable Built Environment
            Hub and Collaborative Design Centre at ITE College East.


            Proposed Partnership with Business Alliance for Sustainability Economy
            The Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, together with Prof Jeff Obbard, NYAA Climate Change
            Advisor, met with Mr Teng Theng Dar on 30 October 2024 to explore a potential partnership with the Business
            Alliance for Sustainability Economy.


            Free Health Screening at Chua Chu Kang Community Club
            NYAA Gold Award holders from the 2024 cohort, Hannah and Kwan Hee, led the Active Ageing Associates
            project at Chua Chu Kang Community Club. Supported in part by NYAA, the initiative successfully conducted
            free health screenings for over 600 seniors over two days. The event was graced by Deputy Prime Minister and
            Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong, who is also the Member of Parliament for Chua Chu Kang.

            North Spring Primary School 25th Anniversary Celebration
            North Spring Primary School celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a luncheon on 15 November 2024. The
            Guest of Honour was Dr Eugene Seah, Chairman of the NYAA Council.

            As the Executive Director was in Peru attending the APEC Voices of the Future Summit, he sent a pre-recorded
            congratulatory message, which was screened during the celebration.

            SingTel E-Waste Project at Bedok, East Coast GRC
            Dr Angela Lee, NYAA Council Member and Senior Director, Head of Sustainability at SingTel, led an e-waste
            collection initiative in Bedok, East Coast GRC, alongside her team. The project received strong community
            support.

            The Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Bedok, Mr Heng Swee Keat, attended the event
            to show his support for the initiative, which aimed to raise awareness and encourage responsible e-waste
            disposal.

            Hari Raya Luncheon at Burhani Mosque
            The NYAA ED and Deputy ED attended a Hari Raya luncheon on 24 April 2024 at the Burhani Mosque, graced
            by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The President’s Office expressed interest in collaborating closely
            with NYAA on this initiative, underscoring the importance of the programme in fostering future leadership.

            Launch of the Second Volume of S. Rajaratnam – The Lion’s Roar
            Prime Minister Lawrence Wong officiated the launch of the second volume of S. Rajaratnam – The Lion’s Roar
            at the National Library Podium. The author, Ms Irene Ng-Berry, was present at the launch.

            The book offers valuable insights into S. Rajaratnam’s leadership and his contributions to Singapore’s early
            years of nation-building.
            Extraordinary Celebration: Harmonic Beats 2024
            The NYAA ED and Deputy ED attended the Harmonic Beats 2024, Singapore’s largest inclusive concert, at
            the University Cultural Centre, the National University of Singapore, organised by the ExtraOrdinary People.
            Graced by Minister Masagos Zulkifli, the event showcased the talents of students from special education
            schools and people with disabilities.

            Despite their disabilities, the performers delivered moving performances that touched the audience’s hearts,
            leaving many in tears. The event underscored NYAA’s commitment to supporting Special Education students
            with opportunities and platforms to excel.
