Greetings Community!
I hope you are well and safe.
The Ministry of Health in India states that the number of COVID related deaths in India stands at 1886 and continues to rise. Even though the lockdown has been relaxed, we urge our community to stay in lockdown mode until May 17th.
Next week, we begin week 9 of our distance learning. I am impressed with how creative the teachers and the students have been. Mr. Allistair Quirke, our Primary Art teacher created a video for his students and our faculty. You can view it here. The message is that the lockdown can be viewed as a blessing in so many ways.

We hope that our families can find the quiet time needed to reflect, plan, and engage with your family and friends and take on projects that you have not attempted before. Last week, I tried baking an apple cake. I wouldn’t say I was all that successful, but it was the attempt at learning something new and learning from my failures that made me feel good. I hope you all continue to use this time to learn, engage, and reflect and take advantage of this opportunity to grow in new ways. I have discovered that baking is not one of my strengths, but after the wounds have healed, I know I will try it again.
I also wanted to share that we are so proud of the Embassy Group’s Community Outreach work amidst the COVID-19 crisis. The Embassy Cares Program has distributed over 3,02,000 meals to daily wage workers, migrant workers and their families across locations in Bengaluru. Lastly, we will be refunding all variable costs related to student transportation, cafeteria, and boarding costs for the last three months of the academic year. Details of the refund will be sent to you next week. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that there will be no increase in the Fee Structure for the 2020-2021 Academic Year. This includes all components including tuition, boarding, cafeteria as well as transportation. The 2020-2021 Fee Schedule will be sent to you shortly.
