FUN DUMPLINGS
INGREDIENTS
Beet root – 1 piece
Spinach – 1 Bunch
Wheat Flour – 2 Cups
Green Chilly – 2 pcs
Red Chilly Powder –3 tsp
Fresh Chicken Breast - 250 grams Curd -3 tbsp Spoon
Black Pepper - 1 tsp Salt – As per taste Oil – 3 tbsp
Garlic – 1 tbsp Lemon – 1 pc
Oil – for frying
METHOD
First let’s marinate the chicken. Wash and cut chicken breast in small cubes. To that add curd, red chilly powder, pepper, salt, lemon juice and garlic. Mix everything well and keep it in the fridge for an hour.
Let’s make the Dough for the dumplings. Boil the Beetroot and Blanch the Spinach. In a blender add boiled beetroot 1 tsp red chilly and salt and blend it. Remove the puree as keep
it aside. Now in the blender add the blanched spinach, green chilly and salt and blend it. In a bowl add 1 cup of wheat flour and to that add 1 tbsp of oil, add the beetroot puree and kneed to
form dough. In another bowl add 1 cup of wheat flour and to that add 1 tbsp of oil, add spinach puree and kneed to form dough. Keep both the doughs aside.
Let’s prepare the stuffing. Heat oil in a pan and add 1 tbsp oil now add the marinated chicken breast and cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until its tender.
Now roll both the doughs to form a big roti and with the help of a cookie cutter cut in small discs shape. Put the stuffing of the chicken and seal it in a shape of a bag.
Heat oil in a wok and slowly fry the dumplings on a medium flame.
