A Carefree Spirit
The Blissful moment of
moonlight under your skin
And the eagerness to let my
imagination go wild
What I would do for my head to give in?
For that peace and tranquility, it brings in me!
However, when emotions of negativity take over me,
I let go of my senses and fall into the consequences.
All my wrongs make me feel guilty Questioning my purpose in this world!
Nevertheless, when that small light gives me the endurance,
The feeling of what I am worth,
Freeing myself from my biased judgements It’s all I’ll ever need, to become carefree!

War and peace
As a life is taken, another soul is granted birth;
But all belong to mother earth’s soil and dirt
Alas! violence and bloodshed remain Peace and harmony yet to reign. Among this a few stay neither Pledged to not kill each other,
The balanced one in between
A balanced world they dream
An unthinkable yet achievable feat, The monster revenge, our hope it eats The true culprit greed and debate
But pride keeps us from defeat.

Moonchild
The moon that reflects in your eyes,
Oh moonchild! Don’t you cry, Carrying all the pain,
But still they dance in the rain.
When the moon rises, The stars all align,
It’ll be their time to shine.
Hiding from the sun,
In the dark shade,
Which slowly starts to fade, It’s like we’re living and dying, At the same time.
Soon the dusk passes,
And when the satellite rises,
They wander around not lost,
And the moonlight shining soft,
As the blue shade embraces the world, The winds of night blowing slow and cold, All behold! The children of the moon.
They search their answers, Under the moon showers.

Homework
Many of you may have already scrunched up your faces at the title alone. I’m sure we all have that one impulsive person in our class “Ma’am! You haven’t given us any homework today.” Teachers barely forget to give us homework; but if they do, they’ve always got their trusty and vigilant assistants by their side. Homework will never, and I mean never, seem like an enticing alternative to doing anything
Nightmare
As she stepped into the street, She realised it was pitch black with a hint of moonlight
The moon was peeking from behind the clouds,
Like a baby playing peek-a-boo.
As she kept walking, she thought that it felt like swimming in cold water;
Cold, freezing and unnerving, yet every minute made her feel more alive than the last. Suddenly there was a clanging noise;
She had upset the lid of a trash can
As she was picking up the lid,
She heard the whooshing of leaves and twigs being broken,
As if someone was walking towards her
When he was at arm’s length,
She drew a breath of surprise;
He had drawn out a knife and pressed it against her neck
She could feel the cold metal come in contact with her warm skin
Suddenly she woke up startled, sweat shining on her face
Only to realize our life, like our dreams isn’t only a fairy tale,
But also a nightmare.

else. Especially if it’s given during the weekends. How many times have we whined about how our precious weekends are being dominated by Linear Equations and Organic Chemistry?
On the contrary, homework is also quite beneficial. No matter how much we may whine and complain, we are gaining knowledge considerably. Homework ensures that we regularly review our
The Contrast of
life
In the obscurity of the nocturnal
I was desperately rummaging
for the perfect black
But was inept to find the same
In the dense clouds flying over the sky.
I, desperately rummaging for the perfect white Still couldn’t find the same.
In the lone abandoned dense forest,
I terribly hunted for the perfect silence
But couldn’t find the same.
In the earsplitting jovial party,
I truly hunted for the perfect tone;
But still couldn’t find the same.
There is no perfect white,
No perfect black,
No perfect silence,
No perfect tone or rhyme or sound;
It’s just a replication of ourselves, our imperfect ways
Life is a combination of contrasts,
Blend of colours,
It is a comparison;
Comparison of brightest and darkest,
A comparison of loudest and softest
Believe me, life is a blend of colours
A blend of varieties.
