Aaaaaaah”, her voice echoed through the corridor
“as the residents of the nearby flats came out to wit-

ness the commotion. What they saw was Radhabai ly-
ing motionless on the floor outside the house of Mr.

Pinto. Someone motioned the watchman to check the
situation.

“Suicide”, he cried out as he placed both his hands on
his head.

“Someone call the police. Quick.”
“Quick, get my phone” signaled every husband to

their wife. What they actually used the phone was to
live stream the coverage and be the first one to break

the news.
What everyone saw was the body of a man dangling

from the ceiling fan – soon recognized as the owner,
Mr. Joseph Pinto, a teacher by profession.

Joseph loved his students and took great pains to
teach them. A particular girl, Riya, kept approaching

him daily regarding her doubts. The sessions of doubt
solving began to change into doubts of personal in-

terest. The love that blossomed between the two was
more than that of a teacher-student love. Rahul, his

companion and best friend also had his eye on Riya.
After college, the trio would often hang out together

and things didn’t seem to bother them much.
Joseph finally decided to take the relationship to the

next level.
“Rahul, you know I love Riya and I wish to get married

to her”, Joseph was desperate, “The only thing that I
