Audrey Edwards - local artist

I have lived in Hellifield since 1980.

I began to study art after retiring from teaching and I am currently in the last year
of a BA course in Fine Art. The drawing shown, done in charcoal pencil, is one
of a series which I created to present views of Hellifield to show its history and
development as a village. This view of Back Lane features a railway bridge and
a sign for a current business, indicating the influences of rail and road transport.
