The IB is not restricted to an elite few at Donovan Catholic. We are
looking for all highly motivated students who have a commendable
record of achievement and who are willing to work hard. Preparation
begins in grades 9 and 10 by succeeding in challenging courses and
learning to manage both school and non-school time effectively.
The IB Prep Program (IBPP) for 9th and 10th graders will include
Honors courses, accelerated math, STEM science and emphasis on
reading and writing skills.
Students may formally apply for the IB Diploma Program (IBDP)
(grades 11 and 12) during their sophomore year by submitting an
application that will be reviewed by the student’s Guidance
Counselor and the IB Coordinator.

recommendations and questions about the student’s
approach to learning
meet with the Counselor and the IB Coordinator between
March and May of sophomore year to plan courses for
grades 11 and 12
Your future lies ahead. IB is an exciting alternative to standard AP
courses and other college level courses. Consider all of your options
carefully.
