UPPer leFT: In Ms. Picinic's English 1 class,
students Julia Kurzynowski ('23) and Gianna
Vanesko ('23) make a literary connection between
Elie Weisel's Night, and Beethoven's concerto. By
scanning the QR code, students are able to listen
to the music while reading and analyzing the
scene.

UPPer rIgHT: Freshman, Sofia Donato ('23),
studies the painting "Life Drains Slowly at Birkenau"
by Judith Dazzio. Sofia and her classmates were
able to make a visual connection from this painting
to our text.

lower leFT: Larissa Radziszewski ('23), Grace
Garley ('23), and Nicholas Streeter ('23) challenge
their senses by submerging their hands in ice
water to connect with our narrator's experience of
the frigid temperatures in Auschwitz.
