  You can see what has been achieved in the four weeks. It is basic and simple, but it moves mountains. Great for getting TIM (Time in Motion) and giving ownership to people.
On a recent holiday in Australia, I was invited out mountain biking – in the bush at night with a head lamp for 21 kms. I was a bit out of my comfort zone, but it was exhilarating (except for the tree!). Anyway, I was talking business with this guy, who asked if I could help him. I said, ‘What’s the problem?’ He replied, ‘My wife and I are working sixty to seventy hours a week and I don’t know where to go with the business. We are just working too hard.’ ‘Ok,’ I said. ‘I may be able to help. It starts with financials. Send them to me.’ Which he did. As it turns out, they were doing OK but needed some direction.
A few days later I met up with him and his wife for 90 minutes. I asked about the issues they were experiencing. They said that they were working too much. They had tried an administration person, but it was no good. I asked why. They replied that the administration person couldn’t do anything right, even follow instructions. I asked them more questions
