AT THE HOSPICE
With your support we continue to advance our information technology capabilities which has proved instrumental at fostering flexibility and resilience within our hospice operations.
We have successfully transitioned our entire infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, marking
a significant achievement for our organisation.
As part of this endeavour, we implemented the Microsoft Modern Workplace model, which involved migrating all our files to a new SharePoint site named Max, paying homage to one of our hospice founders, Max Cooper.
This migration has empowered our workforce to access essential files from any internet-connected device. Our workforce now has the flexibility
they need to perform their roles effectively and ensures continuous delivery of our services to our patients and their families, no matter where they are located.
Furthermore, by moving our fundraising management solution to the cloud, we were able to decommission our servers and achieve substantial budget savings.
Additionally, the successful conclusion of our computer and laptop lease agreements presented an opportunity to further enhance flexibility and resilience. Consequently, we have transitioned all staff members to laptops, providing them with the added advantage of mobile network accessibility. This development has proven particularly beneficial for our clinical teams, enabling them to access patient records and pertinent information while working with our patients in their homes and in the community.
Te Omanga Hospice remains committed to leveraging technology to its fullest potential and continuously seeks opportunities to drive innovation within our hospice.
