Installation, Maintenance and Service Tools
Established in 2003 Sheffield based company Torque Solutions has been supplying and supporting the Renewable Wind Energy sector for over 16 years.
At the beginning the primary focus for the company was hydraulic torque tooling. The first type of wind turbines were very compact and small in comparison to todays 10-12MW machines so hydraulic tools with high power to weight/size ratio were ideal for the industry.
Advancements in tooling have progressed over the years and today Torque Solutions provides not only hydraulic torque and tensioning tools but 110v and battery tools up to 4,000 Nm and more.
In 2018 Torque Solutions joined forces with Atlas Copco Tools. Atlas Copco are renowned as the market leader in power tools and have over the last 5 years developed a range of hydraulic tools to compete in the market place. Not happy just to compete Atlas Copco have now introduced a range of transducerised 110v and battery tools which are capable of reaching 8,000NM to final orque with speeds up to twice as fast as their nearest competitor.
The REVO HA is the first 8,000 Nm tranducerised tool with 2 hand operation reducing the risk of finger trapping on reaction arms with the tools. The REVO is making major steps in the Wind Energy sector and changing the way Wind Farm Operators look at tightening bolts , the REVO ensures that tightening are right first time, it also counts the number of bolts and finally documents the tightening sequence giving full traceability to ensure quality is achieved.
Torque Solutions are the UK Bolting Solutions Centre for Atlas Copco. The prime focus is to support onshore and offshore wind farms with tools used for installation,maintenance and service. The company has a large fleet of tools on their hire shelf but also a large stock of new tools ready for immediate despatch. Demonstration of tooling on site and on application is available upon request.
