GIFTS OF PROPERTY OR REAL ESTATE.
Donating appreciated real estate, such as a home, vacation property, undeveloped land, farmland, ranch or commercial property can make a great gift to our organization.
PLANNED GIVING. Including Fresno State as part of your estate plans, ensures a lifelong legacy for supporting students. The Richard Tucker Endowed Scholarship Award is the result of a gift left in the estate of Richard Tucker, a Fresno State alumnus of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. Mr. Tucker’s generosity leaves a legacy that will support the Veterans Education Program (VEP) in perpetuity, having created an endowment with the Fresno State Foundation supporting the student veterans enrolled in the VEP. Planned Giving to Fresno State ensures a lasting legacy for your philanthropic interests while allow- ing you to enjoy the program and interact with the students in life.
GIVING IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE. Dennis and Sandy Stubblefield support the Veterans Education Program in honor of Sandy’s brother, a fondly remembered war veteran. The Stubblefields generously give to support student veterans pursuing a parallel admission route to admittance at Fresno State through the Veterans Education Program, a program sustained solely through community giving. Student veterans take 15 general education units including English, Mathematics, critical thinking, and com- munications as well as a university preparatory course de- signed to prepare them for university life. Once completed, they matriculate as full time undergraduate degree seeking students. Without support of philanthropy like the Stubble- field gift, this program would not be made possible.

CORPORATE AND FOUNDATION GIVING. Many generous corporations and foundations support the programs in Continuing and Global Education. These partnerships are formed through local community businesses and corporations and local and national philanthropic foundations. Partnerships with corporations and foundations fuel university endow- ments, scholarships, research grants, equipment purchases, capital improvements and special projects. All these gifts spur the imagination and talent of Fresno State students and faculty as well as benefit the region.

Mr. Tucker gave a portion of his estate to benefit Fresno State student veterans in the Veterans Education Program, establishing the Richard Tucker Endowment Award.
